The sports are committed to provide a healthy life among the students. It helps to learn teamwork, coordination, discipline, value of time, and competition in sports club. Students those who are admitted in first year are member in sports club and sports fee should be paid in the beginning of the year. Students who are get exemption from sports must get medical certificate. The following members are constituted and monitored by the sports club

1.    Principal : Chairman | Physical Director : Secretary | Professor :  Two senior persons  | Committee Head of sports clubs

 

Note: Student’s member in sports club are not member in other clubs is mandatory. Sports discussion, planning and execution are done by sports committee.  On each semester committee members are verified accounts and stocks.  The committee submits annual finance report and decides sports day celebrations also give suggestions to run the club. If any urgency, the physical director will constitute the committee. As per G.O. 24428/C/98 dt. 7.4.1996, DCE, Chennai-6 for sports and competitions funds are used. The facilities of the following sports are Football, Hockey, badminton, volleyball, cricket, shuttle cork, javelin throw, indoor games, basket ball, kabbadi and Gym for exercise (all working days from 2.30 p.m to 3.30 p.m at room no. 40).  For promotion of academic excellence students who are in sports club should get attendance certificate 75% from physical director and good conduct certificate otherwise not permitted.

 

General rules for sports

     1.    Students must wear shirt and half hand trousers in the ground.

     2.    All accessories are in charged by team leader of that game.

     3.    Students who are misleading or misbehaving are not entertained in sports events.

     4.    Sports Timing in all working day is 3.45 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.

     5.    Rules and regulations may change time to time for conduction of sports and competitions.

  Ø  Mr. S. Thamilselvan has participated Hockey tournament in the south zone team on 16.10.2019.

  Ø  Mr. M. Vinothkumar, 2nd B.A. English has bagged Gold in Judo (56 Kg) on 01.11.2019 in the university level competition

  Ø  Mr. L. Sabarinathan, 2nd B.Sc. Computer Science has won Silver in Judo (60 Kg) on 01.11.2019 in the university level competition

  Ø  Mr. M. Mahendiran, 1st  B.A. History has won Silver in Judo (66 Kg) on 01.11.2019 in the university level competition

  Ø  Ms. G. Yumadevi and Ms. D. Aishwarya, 2nd B.A. English has bagged Gold (university level) in Tennis tournament on 14th and 15th October 2019.

  Ø  Ms. Sathiya Priya, 3rd B.Sc. Maths has won Bronze in 1500 m Running Race competition on 17.02.2020 in the university level competition.

  Ø  Ms. G. Yumadevi, 3rd B.A. English has bagged Gold (university level) in Tennis tournament on 18th February 2020.

  Ø  Mr. M. Mufeez Basha, 2nd B.Sc. Chemistry has won Bronze in Judo (73 Kg) on 19.02.2020 in the university level competition

  Ø  Mr. L. Sabarinathan, 2nd B.Sc. Computer Science has won Silver in Judo (60 Kg) on 18.02.2020 in the university level competition

  Ø  Mr. M. Mahendiran, 1st  B.A. History has won Silver in Judo (66 Kg) on 18.02.2020 in the university level competition

  Ø  Mr. R. Sakthivel, 1st  B.Sc. Chemistry has won Silver in Judo (56 Kg) on 18.02.2020 in the university level competition

  Ø  Mr. Vikram, 2nd B.A. Literature has won Bronze in 100 m Running Race competition on 17.02.2020 in the university level competition.

  Ø  Mr. L. Sabarinathan, 2nd B.Sc. Computer Science has won Gold in Judo
   (60 kg) on 25th December 2019 in the National level competition

  Ø  Mr. M. Vinothkumar, 2nd B.A. English has won Gold in Judo (56 kg) on 25th December 2019 in the National level competition.
